Happy Presidents' Day! Since I last posted, so much has happened ... I think. I was going to bake my parents heart-shaped biscuits, because -when we were wee lads- my mom used to bake my brother and I heart-shaped biscuits on Valentine's morning. They were not as good as the biscuits I make now. However, after I grated the frozen butter in my food processor, I tipped it out into the flour and the handle on the food processor broke. The bowl fell into the flour. I dug out a few pieces of plastic and a spring, and I threw it all in the trash. I called the manufacturer. They are sending me a new bowl ... in 2-3 weeks. UGH. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MAKE BISCUITS NOW?!?!? The SigNoth caught a cold, so Valentine's Day was even more of a bust. Not that I really buy into the whole pseudo-holiday thing anyway. Saturday, I did my taxes. Refund, yay! And, I ordered some nice stationery. I thought it would be fun to use my fa...
Oh. Should I start making a baby vuboq quilt, then? I thought perhaps a martini/vegetable motif.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Y can figure it out.
*hugs*
Y is pregnant?
ReplyDeleteShall we expect a baby in nine months from last Sunday?
ReplyDeleteWait, did he just sort of say that out of the blue or was there some actual context? I'm hoping there was context...
ReplyDeleteThere was a context. It was me who brought it up to the conversation. Anyways, don't you think that it is kinda good sign? It means that he considers the relationship very seriously. Although I know how much you hate baby poops. I can give you one of my twins....if I ever have them.
ReplyDeleteThat's what they ALL say at first...
ReplyDeleteThat's practically a proposal, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteTell him not to wait too long, children are most easily raised whilst still young.
ReplyDelete:)
But is it important to you? Can I find the answer in the archives? I'm wracking my memory and coming up blank.
ReplyDeleteE.C.: I can't say the prospect is thrilling. I don't think I've ever blogged about [my (lack of) desire to have] children. I may post something in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteWow....how long have you been in this relationship 6months... and he’s talking about children. He may be a keeper. Are you ready for this conversation?
ReplyDeleteChildren are super highly overrated: One, the trailer trash are having PLENTY. Two, they screw up your ability to have a personal life. Three, they are expensive so you can't buy booze. Four, if you drink booze while raising them, the state takes them (the children, not the boozes) away. Five, poop.
ReplyDeleteBut I'd assume that was practically a proposal, yeah. I will knit you a wedding dress.
