Good Morning, Kittens! What a wack-o-matic weekend. So much fun. So much booze. So much hangover. On Friday, after work, I met SCGB at 9 (the bar formerly known as Mova which was formerly known as Halo). Same great bar. Same great 2-for-1 Happy Hour. I had two delicious Makers Mark Manhattans (dry, with a twist). SCGB was drinking Dark and Stormies. Nomz. One of the bartenders was SuperCUTEZ! He reminded me both in looks and voice of the guy I was dating this summer who disappeared. Needless to say, I gave him a big tip. *wink* PERVY MONKEYS! SCGB and I left 9 and had dinner at Thai Tanic. Oh, the Thai restaurant puns. They keeeeeeeeell me. BUT, Thai Tanic is so delicious. I hadn't eaten there in ages and had forgotten how truly yummy it is. I had veggie drunken noodle. So spicy. So good. Mmmm. Then, SCGB and I parted ways. On the way home, I stopped by the Whole Foods and bought a pumpkin to carve. And, I had to carry the damn thing home because I missed the ...

Good Morning, Kittens. Way back in 1995, my family visited me in Japan. My brother really liked a photo of the two of us, which was taken in my apartment. So, he had copies made for the family. 15 years later, at my 40th birthday party, a friend took another great picture of the two of us (which was improved by Michelle M's amazing photoshop skillz!). So, I had copies made and will give mom one for a (very belated) Mother's Day present. I'll send one to my brother. And, the other one will cover up a 15 year old photo in which I had a hairline ... and no eyewrinklez. I think we're only getting better with age. *smooches*

Good evening, Kittens. This is how I spent my evening ... Create avatar Making an animated gif using some free website. I took the pictures when Dr. Mel was visiting two weeks ago(? whenever ...). I think he was in the bathroom and I was entertaining myself taking self-portraits. Not much other news to report ... I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. I don't have many weekend plans. Tomorrow, I'm meeting Ray for dinner. Saturday morning, I must clean. In the evening, I have a date. And, on Sunday, more cleaning and -perhaps- my final trip to the pottery studio to pick up the last few pieces from the Spring session. Have a great night and a fabulous weekend. *smooches*

Counting incandescent EXIT signs at work. So much fun ... My keyboard ... Crossing the drill floor ... Counting more EXIT signs ... I love this. EXIT/Not an Exit ... After work, I stopped by Macys to buy a new pair of jeans (I ended up buying 2 pairs ... GAH!). Anyway, some Strange Man followed me into the dressing room ... On the metro home ... And, then, the bus (because it was raining REALLY hard) ... A quick dinner of leftover pasta salad ... The rest of the night was spent drinking, watching movies, and having fun with Mr. Fantastic (no pictures *wink*). Have a fabulous weekend! *smooches*

Good Morning, Kittens! Yesterday, I snaked a drain! I know! So manly! So masculine! So totally not me. I am plumber. Hear me roar. *rowr* As you may remember, the day before I left to visit the cuz, my sink exploded (or became clogged. whatever). I haven't had the time or inclination to deal with it since then. Finally, tired of washing dishes in the bathtub, I decided to take matters into my own hands and fix the sink myself. Step 1: Unclog the drain. Which apparently requires a drain snake. I walked into the hardware store, headed towards the plumbing section, and looked flummoxed. "May I help you," asked the sweet young Hardware Girl. "Yes! I'm looking for a drain snake." "Oh. Um ... what does one look like?" "I don't know." Finally, she went to get help and there they were. Right in front of us. Hm. Doesn't look very snake-like. Where are the scales? and the beady eyes? I followed directions I found on the internet...

You should see the other guy ... Actually, if you have seen the other guy, you need to call the MoCo Police Department. I think the forehead wound is self-inflicted. Apparently, I'm not the most coordinated wielder of umbrellas. But, I figure if I hit him as hard as I hit myself, he's feeling a little pain this morning, too. I also have some bumps on the top of my head, a few bruises, a stiff neck, and I still sound like Faye, the 65-year-old chain-smoking Time-Life operator. And, if you'd like to contribute to my New Umbrella Fund, please send a check ...
