Weekends Update: Wow. Where HAVE I Been Edition

Good Evening, Kittens!

Tornwordo sort of reminded me in his comment that, wow, I haven't blogged in awhile.  I guess with the kitchen project, the new job, the ennui of life I haven't really thought much about recording the exciting events of my life ...

So, last I left off (not withstanding the kitchen post), V from Philly was coming for a visit and I was going to have a conversation with him.

Well, he came for a visit.  But, I didn't have the conversation.  I know.  I am a wimp.  I do have a semi-explanation (which we will get to in a bit).

He arrived late Friday night.  We went out for food.  And came home.

On Saturday, the kitchen guys were coming to do work.  So, we got up early and headed out for brunch.  And, then, some shopping and wandering around.

We came back to my place for a minute, and, then, headed into DC.  We had an early-ish dinner at Jaleo.  It was yummy as always.

V had bought tickets to the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington's performance of "My Big Fat Gay Wedding"  (which, actually, kind of sucked ... I mean the singing was good, but I thought it was going to be this funny gay take on "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."  It was not.  It was actually some A-List Gay Couple's wedding.  They bid on it at a GMCW Auction or something.

After that, we went to Annie's Steakhouse for drinks, because V had a friend in the chorus who he wanted to meet there.

Around 10PMish, we headed to a (very) straight club, which a V's friend from high school co-owns (or something).  The friend was nice.  We had a lot to drink (for free).  Including 3 tequila shots.

Needless to say after lots of drinking all day, VUBOQ was VERY DURNK.  As was V.  We decided to leave and on the street got into a little argument.  But neither of us really remember what it was about or what happened.

One thing that did happen was that I ended up on the metro home by myself.  I don't know what happened to V.  I got home around 3AM and went to bed.

When I woke up at 3PM, he was there.  He had no idea how he got home.

Needless to say, I felt a little guilty about abandoning him in DC.  I also felt very overhung.  We didn't move out of the bed until probably 6ish.  Then, we moved to the sofa and watched DVDs.  Horizontal.  It was lovely.

And, on Monday, we got up, had a late breakfast, and he headed back to Philly.

A fun weekend.  Even though there was no sex.  Or kissing.  Or conversation.

There was a jealous M though.  Ugh.

However, we talked that out.  I explained how I think the V thing is drawing to a close.  AND, then, last weekend, M came over for a weekend of fun and very hot secks.

On Friday evening, I met Mike (Who Makes Cakes) for dinner at Mandalay.  And, then, we hung out for a bit with Tomokito.

M came over later, like around 11.  So we just went to bed.

Saturday morning, we got up early and went for a nine-mile run.  Then, we cleaned up and went to lunch at Roscoe's (a pizza place in Takoma Park).

We had a little post-lunch fun.  And then a nap.  And then a little post-nap fun.  And, then, dinner and post-dinner fun.  And, then, bed.

Sunday, wash.  Rinse. Repeat.

And, on Monday, we got up and went to work.

So. There you go.  You're all caught up!

It's Been Awhile

Good Friday Evening!

It's been awhile since my last post ... and this is why:

Why, yes, that is (errr ... was) my kitchen.  It is being renovated.  There has been drama, Drama, and DRAAAAAAAAMA.  And, that was all on Day 1.  BUT, I am saving those stories for a long post once everything is completed (hopefully soon!).  In the meantime ...

Things with M (not the one in Vegas.  the one here) have been heating up.

Last weekend, he rented a hotel room at Rouge in DC.  So, we checked in.  Had hot hotel sex.  Then,  we had dinner at Estadio (a tapas restaurant).  Then, we went back to the hotel and had more hot hotel sex.  Then, we went to sleep.  And, then, we woke up and had more hot hotel sex.  And, then, we had brunch.  Good times.

We have talked about seeing how we get along with y'know not having hot sex and just conversing.  So, Monday (or was it Tuesday?), he asked if he could come over, and I said sure.  But no sex!

And we did NOT have sex.  OMG. It was difficult because he is so. hot.  But, the cuddling was nice.  as was the conversation.

And, then, he asked *that* question:

"What are you doing for Valentine's Day?"

And I gave *that* response:

"Sitting at home, alone, drinking champagne and eating chocolate" ... because, y'know, that is fun!  And pretty much describes an almost perfect evening.

So, then, he said, "Maybe I could come over and we could have dinner.  I will bring wine or something."

And, I said, "That would be awesome.  Except I have no kitchen." (See above photo).

So, he said, "OK. You provide the booze and I will bring dinner."

And, that is what we did.  Drank champagne.  Ate carbtastic take-out.  Talked.

And fucked like rabbits on their honeymoon.

Do rabbits even have honeymoons?

He brought me a card.  And a box of chocolates.  Life is like that, I understand.

We got up this morning.  Late.  Because the kitchen guys had turned off the electric at some point and I set my alarm incorrectly.  BUT, fortunately, I thought I might do that so I also set my phone alarm.

Sometimes, I am not as dumb as I look.

So we got up.  Late.  May (or may not) have had a little bit of quicky something-something.  I kicked him out. Hopped in the shower.  And made it to work.  Just. In. Time.

Which brings us to this weekend ...  the kitchen is still Under Construction.

AND, V from Philly is coming down, arriving in a few hours.  He bought tickets to the GMCW concert on Saturday.

I feel at some point someone's heart is going to be broken.  This is what happens when you play with love.  People get burned.

BUT, hello, UPS.  My cute new shoes have arrived.  I must away.

Weekend Update: Snow, Sex, and Super Bowl Edition

Good Evening, Kittens!

As I am waiting for K-Factor to get home from her meeting (so she can drive us to Pottery Class), I thought I'd take a few minutes to update you on my fun-filled weekend.

Friday night, the plans I thought I had turned out to be plans for this coming Friday.  Oops.  Calendar Entry Error!  So, I spent the night at home.  Alone.  Eating gelato and watching "Milk."  Which, btw, was fabulous.  And made me cry.  Bastards!

And, it snowed.  WTF? (other than it being cold.  and winter, i mean.  This isn't forking Canadia or something).

Saturday, I did errand-like things.  And sort of thought about cleaning.  In the late afternoon, Tomokito came down and we drank many cocktails and talked of many things.  SCGB and his SCBF were supposed to join us, but SCGB had the sniffles.  Or he hates me.

Saturday evening, Mike (Who Makes Cakes) invited me out ... but, um, it was cold.  And, WTF?, it was snowing again.  So, I stayed in.  Where it was warm and toasty and there was booze.  I watched some of "Dr. Zhivago" ... You, my dear, are a slut!  Oh, how I love that movie.

On Sunday, I went for a run.  6 miles.

And, then I ironed 6 shirts.

And, I may have had a martini.

I also made chili.  Chocolate Bourbon Black Bean and Lentil Chili.

I over-estimated the amount of cayenne pepper necessary.  Oops.  Spicy.

And, then, M (not the one in Vegas) came over.  We had "fun."  Then, he wanted to go somewhere to watch the Super Bowl.

First, we went to Galaxy Billiards.  They had a $5 cover (srsly? what?).  Neither of us had cash, so we ended up at McGinty's Pub.  They had no cover.  And appetizer specials.

We got there as the 3rd Quarter was beginning (I mentioned that we were having "fun" before, right?).  I am sad that I missed Bouncy and her half-time extravaganza.  But not that sad.

Of course, as soon as we sat down and ordered beerz, the power in the stadium went out.

BEHOLD, the Power of VUBOQ!

Eventually, the power came back on, but we had finished our beerz and eaten some fries.  So, we headed back to my place.  Where we may (or may not) have had some more "fun."

And, then, we fell asleep.

And had more "fun" this morning.

And I was still 15 minutes early for work.  Oh, yeah!

I hope you, too, had a snowy, sexy, booze-filled weekend!

OMG, Kittens!  Remember me?  How are you?  Is anyone still out there?

My Exciting New Job started on the January 28th and settling into that has been busy busy busy.  I don't even know where to begin to start catching up on my life.

So here are just some of the random things that have happened in the past two weeks that I can remember ...

At some point, I had a fun little Adult Sleepover (without actually sleeping over) with K (remember him?).  He is still as enthusiastic as ever.  *rowr*

The Little Red Car's battery has died.  And, I need to give it a jump.  But, that seems scary. So, I have been procrastinating.

M (not the one in Vegas) decided he didn't want to hang out with me anymore.  But, now he has changed his mind. And, we are getting together on Sunday for a little Super Bowl Part for two.  So, that should be fun.

This SuperHot guy I hooked up with about two years ago contacted me out of the blue.  But, I have my pride.  And, I had a little free time. So, we had a fun little Adult Sleepover (without actually sleeping over) on Monday night.

My cute Woo Hoo I Have New Job Shoes arrived ...

Everyone, say hello to my cute new Woo Hoo I Got a New Job shoes!

I wore a bowtie to work.

My building's annual shareholder meeting happened.  I was re-elected to the Board.  I will be President this year.  Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha.  Power!

My brother's birthday is today.  I still don't have a present for him.  His birthday present to me arrived yesterday. WTF?  I'm the Responsible Brother!  Get off my turf!

(Not a Baby) Baby Hana turned four.

My assigned work sites are in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and two in San Francisco.  I will be traveling to the West Coast several times a year.  Yay for Frequent Flier Miles!  Boo for jetlag!

I spent nearly $200 on new ties (and a belt).

I need to contact the people about my kitchen.  And do my taxes.  And take care of some craziness with my mortgage company.

And I need to clean my house.

And do about a GaBillion other things.

But, all I really want to do is drink wine and eat frozen pizza.

So, that's what I'm doing.

Have a great weekend!  I'll try to be better about updating.
