Good Evening, Kittens! As I am waiting for K-Factor to get home from her meeting (so she can drive us to Pottery Class), I thought I'd take a few minutes to update you on my fun-filled weekend. Friday night, the plans I thought I had turned out to be plans for this coming Friday.  Oops.  Calendar Entry Error!  So, I spent the night at home.  Alone.  Eating gelato and watching "Milk."  Which, btw, was fabulous.  And made me cry.  Bastards! And, it snowed.  WTF? (other than it being cold.  and winter, i mean.  This isn't forking Canadia or something). Saturday, I did errand-like things.  And sort of thought about cleaning.  In the late afternoon, Tomokito came down and we drank many cocktails and talked of many things.  SCGB and his SCBF were supposed to join us, but SCGB had the sniffles.  Or he hates me. Good Evening, Kittens! Pride Weekend comes to a close. And, I did absolutely nothing Pride related, other than being Gay and Out and About.  Which, I suppose, is the point of the whole thing. SO, on Friday, I left work a *smidge* early to go to the doctor.  Good times.  Luckily, all is well :-) ... Then, I booked it to Union Station and hopped on a train to Baltimore. My friend, V from Philly, wanted to meet up for the Orioles-Philly baseball game.  So, I was all like, OK.  As long as it doesn't go into extra quarters or anything. (and there ends my "haha VUBOQ doesn't know anything about sports even though during the game, much to the surprise of V, he accurately called a particular hit as a ground rules double" joke). Good Morning, Kittens. I am "working" from home today. Oh, yeah. Federal government closed, but I can't take the day off. Must continue to slave for the Man. *sigh* So, you may have heard this already, but we got a s**tload of snow on Friday. No official Sligo Co-op totals, but probably somewhere between 16"-20". I am kind of annoyed because our new snow removal contractors only showed up at the beginning of the storm and haven't been seen since. Gah. ANYWAY ... Great fun was had by the residents of Sligo Co-op. On Friday night, I had cocktails with Tomokito in her apartment. SCGB joined us later as we sipped negronis and watched the cars slide into each other on the snowy hill in front of our building. Saturday afternoon, we gathered at K-Factor's apartment for food, games, and drinks. Lots of drinks. Good Morning, Kittens (especially Kristen*!). Last night, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Nationals vs. Phillies game. It rocked. As you may know, VUBOQ knows a lot about baseball ( see this post ). So here's my take on the game ... The Home Team (Go Nats!) wore white. The Visitors (Go Phillies!) wore ... dingy. I mean, really. What up with that color, Phillies? Do you not use bleach? Talk to your laundry service. Srsly. I got to watch the game with my SuperHot BlogCrush, ShallowGal . OMG. She is so funny (and knows waaaaay too much about baseball - player stats, differences between the two leagues**, and that the Nats have no cute players***). Go read her blog now. No. Wait. The best thing about watching the Super Bowl with my international friends (Japanese, Israeli, and Argentinian) is that *I* was explaining the game to them! Ha! Important things like: 1. You get four chances to go 10 yards. And if you don't make it, the other team gets a free throw. If you do make it, you get to slap everyone's asses! *w00t* Ass-Slapping! 2. The game actually stops for the commercials. The teams want to see them too! 3. A touchdown is 6 points. A field-goal is 3 points. A free throw is 2 points. And a run is 1 point. 4. At the end of the fourth inning, the team with the highest score wins! The losers all have to do a round of tequila shots. Sports! I loves them!
