Destination: Unknown

OK, Kittens ... VUBOQ has scheduled vacation time from October 27-November 4. However, he can't leave until the 28th, unless he reschedules his Saturday hair appointment (cut and color! woot!).

This morning, rather than work on a project due on Monday, I checked ticket prices to various cities I would like to visit, and, GAH! London $1000! Tokyo $1500!, it looks like VUBOQ will be staying on the American Continent. Here are the 10 cities I checked out:

Detroit/ Ann Arbor (SuperFantastic Cuzin! GayProf!): $139
San Diego (Pandas!): $183
Las Vegas (Casinos! Barry Manilow!): $214
Santa Fe/Albuquerque (Adobe! Chili Peppers!): $230
Boise (Potatoes! Larry Craig!): $240
Seattle (Rain!): $244
San Francisco (Teh Gayz!): $257
Toronto (Bala Wala Shi!): $390
Vancouver (Mounties!): $421
Oaxaca (Pottery!): $481

I really don't want to pay more than $300 for a ticket, especially if I'm going to have to pay for a hotel room as well. Of course, there is always the Scary Chinatown Bus Option to New York City or Philadelphia.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am always open to suggestion.

Check the Aer Lingus ad in yesterday's (9/18) Washington Post. DC to Dublin, $149 each way. I think you have to book by the end of today, though.

  2. I like Vegas. I don't see Montreal on the list though...... the train is $60 each way from Penn Station.

  3. Check out flights Toronto, one of the most beautiful cities on this earth.

The great lakes are magnificent and there is a large artistic community, plus it's an immaculate city.

    just a suggestion...

  4. Yes, and if you came to Philly via the scary Chinatown bus, I'd take you for gelato.

  5. Oh -- I have divided interests. On the one hand, come to A2! On the other hand, I always encourage people to go to NM. It's a tough call.

  6. If you choose Seattle, I will DRIVE THERE AND SEE YOU EVEN THOUGH IT'S FIVE HOURS FROM WHERE I LIVE.

  7. Come to Seattle! The weather will be nicely cool, you may luck into one of our non-rain weeks, and there is too much to do in that short of a time to do it all! I just got back from Baltimore where I sweat profusely, so I know you need a break from THAT!
