Bullet Points

Good Afternoon, Kittens. It's been awhile, so let's play catch up with a quick, bullet-pointed list of what's been happening.  When I last wrote and update, I was in Atlanta ... The hot guy came over again on Thursday evening (May 10th). It was fun.  BUT, once again, I proved to myself that I really don't enjoy casual hooking up. I need emotional connection as well. May 11th, last day of class.  Yay!   Mexican food with my friend, Christal, and her Very Obstinate 2-year-old, MAC. May 12th, returned to the DeeCee. May 13th, called Mom for Mother's Day. May 14th, Doctor's appointment.   May 15th, registered for the Army 10-Miler and attended a rather uncomfortable Co-op Board Meeting. Also, CSA Farm Share vegetables!  Nom nom nom May 16th, did a shit-ton (metric) of laundry. May 17th.  D came over.  We had the oral secks.  And, he got so light-headed he nearly passed out.  Yes.  I am that good. Howeve...

Good Afternoon, Kittens! Greetings from the City Formerly Known as Hotlanta. The past few days have been rainy and muggy.  Blah.  Today seems much nicer though.  And, my afternoon class was cancelled, so I have some time to update Ye Olde BloggyThing ... and possibly catchup on some Sligo Co-op business. Or go for a run.  I ran 4.67 miles on Tuesday.  And, here's an interesting factoid: Atlanta? It is not flat.  It is HILLY!  Gah. Anyway, I arrived on Sunday afternoon.  D was nice enough to offer to drive me to the airport.  Hurrah.  I took the train from the airport to the hotel.  Easy Peasy!  and only $2.50.  Bargain.  I checked in. Unpacked.  Took a nap.  And, then, searched for a place to eat.  I ended up at Mellow Mushroom, only a few blocks away. Yum.  Pizza. My days have been mostly the same.  Class.  Break. Class.  Lunch.  Class. Break.  Class.  Din...

Good Saturday Evening, Kittens. I'm sure most of you are out drinking many many pitchers of liquid sunshine in celebration of this most joyous of (pseudo)holidays, Cinco de Mayo.  For those of you who aren't, here's a brief update on my life ... Things with D are in a weird holding pattern for right now ... his intriguing backstory (which I don't feel comfortable sharing across the internetz) has reared its ugly head and is causing ... well ... drama.  I'm pretty sure he likes me, but he needs to get his head on straight before anything moves forward, IMHO. Other than that, work has been yucky (as one would expect).  I have several BIG deadlines approaching.  Ugh. After work on Friday, my co-worker and I headed to Austin Grill in Silver Spring to celebrate Quatro de Mayo.  My huge nose zit, Stan, joined us. I bought a lottery ticket. I did not win. Today, I ran 7.25 miles.  Then, I headed into the DeeCee to meet my friend (who wants to be mo...

The Man from Atlanta

Back to the grind ... but before I bitch and moan about work, how about a little review of my trip? I left work (yay!) at around 2PM, metro'ed and bused to BWI airport. Checking in was a breeze. So was security. And my plane took off on time . *woot* I arrived in Charlotte around 6:30. And my connecting flight was scheduled to take off at 7:55. Just enough time to grab a quick beer and a bite! Unfortunately, when I landed in Charlotte and checked to see where my gate was, I saw that my flight had been delayed until 9:30. GAH! Just enough time for several leisurely beers and a veggie quesadilla at a NASCAR-themed bar. Ack. Welcome to the South. After eating, I checked the departure board again and learned that my flight was now delayed until 10:40. GAH! I think we finally took off a little after 11, arriving in Atlanta just after midnight. So. very. tired. The next day, after seeing Christal's Palatial Estate [my apartment could fit in her bedroom] in the daylight and blobbing a...

Like MacArthur

I have returned. Many exciting adventures were had. Here are few video clips: NASCAR-themed restaurant at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (where I got to spend lots and lots and lots of time on Friday evening): Hello, Sailor (also at CDIA): At Christal's palatial estate: Random photos have been uploaded to flickr .
