Hello, Kittens! I hope you all remembered that Monday was the Best Day of the Year!  And, I had a super-fantastic 4-day weekend to celebrate it! On Friday, I picked up the rental car and, after running a few errands (in which a "few errands" means "eating lunch and buying booze"), I drove to pick up Mike (Who Makes Cakes).  Then, we drove to pick up my cuddly little boo bear, M. And, then, we all drove to Virginia Beach. It. Took. For. EVER! Once we arrived, we checked in to our fabulous resort hotel and, then, went out to dinner. I may have had a few cocktails. Then, Mike (Who Makes Cakes) and I chilled in the hotel bar, whilst M (who may have had a few too many cocktails) went to bed.  Boo Bear just can't hang with the big boys ;-)  LOLz. Happy Snowy Tuesday, Kittens! Over the weekend, M and I went to Norfolk.  I am not really sure why, other than neither of us had been there before. It is not very likely that either of us will ever go there again. There doesn't really seem like there is much to do in Norfolk.  We did some sightseeing.  We ate at some pretty good restaurants.  For the size of the city, they had a surprising amount of vegan/vegetarian friendly places.  We had dinner on Saturday night at an Italian place that had a separate vegan menu.  And, dinner on Sunday night, was the buffet at an Indian restaurant.  If I could remember the names of the places, I'd tell you ... y'know, just in case you ever find yourself hungry in Norfolk. We didn't arrive until early Saturday evening, so we really only had time to check into the hotel (the Norfolk Plaza), which was nice enough, although it had seen better days. Good Saturday Afternoon, Kittens! Yesterday, I left work a few minutes early to pick up pottery from the studio.  Although, I have two pots which haven't been glazed yet and a missing pot, most of my pots have been fired.  The only thing that hasn't been fired is the Platter of Trials and Tribulations ... Pottery class has ended for the session ... the final Glaze Firing still hasn't happened.  I hope to have some Pottery Pictures (and possibly some Pottery to Give Away) for you by the end of this week.  We'll see ... Good Friday Evening! It's been awhile since my last post ... and this is why: Why, yes, that is (errr ... was) my kitchen.  It is being renovated.  There has been drama, Drama, and DRAAAAAAAAMA.  And, that was all on Day 1.  BUT, I am saving those stories for a long post once everything is completed (hopefully soon!).  In the meantime ... Good Sunday Afternoon, Kittens! I guess it's time to update everyone on my week and weekend.  It has been fabulous (mostly). After work on Monday, I busied myself by getting My Cocky & Rude Bloggy Gift Exchange packages ready to mail.  I hope that they (a) have arrived by now and (b) that they arrived in one piece. Good Afternoon, Kittens!  I hope you had a delightful Thanksgiving and are using the rest of the weekend to relax and exercise off all those excess calories you consumed ... as for me, my Thanksgiving holiday has been possibly one of the Best EVER! THEN, M in Las Vegas texted asking if I would be home on Thursday, because he wanted to pick up the car. Good Evening, Kittens. I have returned from a fun-filled and slightly exhausting weekend in the City of Brothers Who Love. After work on Friday, I headed to Union Station.  My train wasn't scheduled to depart until nearly 9PM, so I had arranged to meet a friend for drinks/food beforehand. Said friend never showed up.  Grrrrr.  And, then, made some lousy excuse.  This is a friend that I used to hang out with last year, but he met a boyfriend and ignored me.  Now, they have broken up, and he contacted me again.  I thought I would give him another shot.  Oh, well.  I am done with that guy. Good Evening, Kittens! It's been a heckuvaweek (so far). Monday, I went to the Trader Joe's.  And, then, I ironed 10 shirts.  Later, K-Factor came down and we watched "True Grit" (the remake, not the original).  It was pretty damn awesome.  I also made a potato leek soup (plus carrots).  It was delicious. This weekend, I was supposed to meet my friend, V from Philly, in Atlantic City; however, that trip did not happen.  Something about a Frankenstorm and most of Atlantic City being washed out to sea ... oh, well.  I was very disappointed.
