3. Even though I live in Silver Spring, DC feels more like "home" to me.

4. I like to travel. Countries I have visited: England, Scotland, Belgium, East and West Germany, Japan, South Korea (briefly), Phillipines (very briefly), Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, China, Taiwan, and Mexico (just across the border).

5. I received my BA in Science Education, Biology Concentration from Elon University in 1992.

8. Currently, I work as the Deputy Program Manager of the Toxic Substances Control Act Information Service (TAIS), an EPA-contracted hotline.

9. My other jobs in as close to reverse chronological order as I can remember were: Technical Information Specialist for TAIS, Deputy Program Manager for the National Lead Information Center (NLIC), Technical Information Specialist for NLIC, [Edited to include]Sackler Gallery of Art Gift Shop Clerk (part-time) [Thanks for the reminder, Dykewife], AU Research Assistant (part-time), AU English/Biology Tutor (part-time), US Geography Teacher, English Instructor in Japan and China, JC Penney Sales Associate, Furniture Leg Sander in some random furniture factory, high school Biology Teacher, Loan Payment Book Machine Operator, Freshens Yogurt Assistant Manager, Elon University Biology/Zoology Lab Assistant, Carousel Yogurt Sales Associate (heh), Arby's Sales Associate (or whatever they called us), and Winston-Salem State University Chemistry Lab Assistant.

10. I have body image issues.

11. I have yet to find my calling in life.

12. When I get colds, they linger for weeks. Sometimes longer. *cough* *hack*

13. Is my lucky number. I graduated 13th out of 400 in my high school class. I have no idea why I still remember this.

14. Yes, I do: Stupid little facts tend to stick in my brain like flies to flypaper.

15. Which also means I tend to carry a grudge for a long, long time. I'm working on this though.

16. I will not seriously date anyone who doesn't like blue cheese again.

17. If I can avoid it, I never want to live above the Mason-Dixon Line. I hates cold weather.

18. I like cheese grits made with Velveeta.

19. My favorite color is green.

20. But, liking green doesn't mean that I like everything that is green. Seriously. I had this friend/ co-worker in Japan who would hold up the most horrible looking pieces of crap and say "This is green. You must like this." Uh. No.

This is exhausting. I'm stopping here.

  1. why hate? don't hold on to grudges. just get hold of some weed, man. invite me over when you do. we'll have a party.

  2. Oooo! I never want to live any farther north than I do now, either. It gets too cold in Memphis for my taste.

I just loves me some cheese grits made with Velveeta too!

We have so much in common!

  3. i am the champion grudge holder. speaking of which, but has nothing to do with it, you forgot to list your part time job at the gift shop.
