Life Changing Question o' the Day

If the job sounds really good and has lots of advancement potential, should VUBOQ consider revoking (or amending) the Mason-Dixon Line rule (see #17)?

  1. If the job is good enough, prolly. Then you just need to knit yourself more sweaters and become a gourmet spiked-hot-chocolate connoisseur.

  2. Yes. With the exception on NM, everything beyond the weather is better above the Mason-Dixon Line.

  3. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with GayProf, as there are rednecks both above and below the Mason-Dixon line. Boston was cool, but further out, Oh. My. God. Yankee Bubbas.

But, if the weather is the only problem, heavy sweaters, chocolate, and a grow light help. (No, not a growlight for THAT!) I also have a friend who recommends lots of likker and sex.

  4. clio bluestocking: Believe you me, I know. 50% of my genetic stock is Massachusetts Yankee Bubba. But ... hm ... MORE likker and sex? I think I could like that!

  5. Just think of the knitting usefulness!

  6. Actually, we do have heat above the M/D line! It was brought to us a few years ago when Starbuck's acquired it!!

  7. Go for it! You can knit your own warmth!

  8. Well, Derek is a native Texan, and he's willing to brave the Michigan winter with me, so maybe it isn't as bad as you may think...
