It's a bright new day and I am feeling, like, extra cranky because I did not sleep well last night [Y was up late being all clickyclackytypysmacky on the keyboard and the light in the room was extrabright and when I did sleep I had weird dreams about missing the last train home]. So, when I got up this morning, and Y wanted to spend some cuddle time, like we normally do before I rush off to work and he remains in bed for another 2.5-3 hours, I ... lied.
"I'm running late," I said, knowing full well that I was actually a little early, but also knowing full well that, if I got back in bed for some cuddle time with Y, it would be highly unlikely that I ever got back up.
Thus, since I lied, you must be punished. Please stay after school to write this sentence 150 times: VUBOQ is a bad person who lies to his boyfriend... while I tell you about the weekend.
Friday, the EPA Public Meeting was a BLAST! Some guy from Environmental Defense totally went off on the director of the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT). He was all "you say there is going to be openness and transparency in the process, but I don't see it." And the director was all "um ... well ... uh ..." FUNtastic! Srsly, people, if you can go to an EPA Public Meeting some time, do it. Good times.
After the meeting, I went to the National Gallery of Art. Of course, I've already blogged about this here. And posted even more photos here. Have fun!
Saturday, I blobbed around for most of the morning. Then, we drove up to Baltimore for margaritas. The tale of that adventure is in the previous post*! With more photos here.
Which brings us to Sunday. I lounged. I watered plants. I pulled some weeds. I chatted with neighbors. We had mango mimosas on the stoop in the afternoon sun. Around 3, I decided that maybe I should shower. So, I did. Then, I went over to Y's.
And that was my weekend. *w00t!*
Don't forget today is Meat-Free Monday. Do your part to protect the environment by enjoying a meat-free meal today. Mmm Mmm. Delicious!
More later. *smooches*
*But, I didn't mention that the margaritas were only $3! *w00t!*
