The Great End of August Pottery Giveaway!

I'm a Buff Bride!
And, now, the moment you've all been scrolling down for ... the Giveway! Huz.Zah. The following objects need new homes:
We're Homeless. Wah.
In order to receive a piece of pottery, please leave a comment detailing which one you would like (pencil holder, big blue and white vase, small curvy blue/white vase, small curvy blue/beige vase, mustard/MI brown vase, mustard, MI brown square-topped vase).
In the event that more than one person wants a particular item, a random drawing will be held (people who live in the DC/Metro area may receive special consideration ... b/c, srsly, postage can get expensive). Also, people who beg shamelessly and/or slather me with huge amounts of praise may also receive special consideration.
I will accept comment entries until midnight on Friday.
OK. Have fun! *smooches*
ooooh! the brown square topped vase will go PERFECT in my africa room!
ReplyDeleteand? you could possibly receive gin on your doorstep in return. i'm just sayin...
The pencil holder would look simply loverly next to my computer. *bats eyelashes and looks cute*
ReplyDeletethey're all so purty. the small curvy blue/white vase would look nice in my living room.
ReplyDeleteI would <3 VUBOQ forever and write odes to his wonderfulness if he was to share his blessed pottery with me.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the curvy vases (blue/white or blue/beige).
I would even be willing to assist with postage somehow.
That square top one is calling my name. . . it's saying "Amy, treat VUBOQ to lunch and come get me."
ReplyDeletePS: You look very thin today and your hair looks awesome.
xoxo, SG
I forgot to mention that VUBOQ is a sex GOD!
ReplyDeleteI will write poetry about that too if I had a curvy vase to inspire me.
I love the large blue and white vase. It would go with my smaller blue and white Original VUBOQ™. (Would happily pay for postage too!)
ReplyDeleteI want one! I would bow to your whim on which would go best with the other lovely one I have -- it's awfully lonely, you know. It's definitely the nicest vase in my whole house, I'll tell you that much for certain!
ReplyDeleteOne of the small curvies would be lovely, but I see you have a lot of demand! :)
ReplyDeleteSassy

ReplyDeleteI will even RETURN your shipping postage because you need the money.

Okay, I'm going to send you a picture of where I keep my pencils. You will be HORRIFIED> I know that Canada sounds like a pricy place to ship to, but COD baby, COD.
ReplyDeletePlus I might suddenly lose my MAD SCRAMBLE SKLZ, .... ; )
Anything with Michigan Brown. Ahh, sweet, comfy Michigan Brown. And you can have first dibs on my souvenir from a Foreign Country where I saw a spectacular bird.
ReplyDeleteLove the small curvy blue/white vase. It will look great with the blue bowl gift from Steven. It also looks a bit like me (curvey that is). Blue is my favorite color. VUBOQ is my favorite blogger and pottery artist! I will be in DC in Nov, so I can pick it up in person-- ZERO postage.
ReplyDeleteI would love either the large blue and white vase or the nearly matching small blue and white vase, if you would see fit to send them off to Boston. :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot promise excellent pottery in return, but I can promise an entertaining postal surprise.
my dear vuboq,
ReplyDeletethe large blue and white vase would look ever so lovely sitting in my window overlooking the cemetary. you know all peaceful and such.
and i'm only just in old town alexandria.
and i think i hear a martini calling your name from vermillion.
please? one for me?
xxoo
i'd even drive all the way to silver spring. srsly.
VUBOQ, VUBOQ, darling of the internets, fixer of martinis, maker of super!cute pottery items--
ReplyDeleteThe round brown vase is lovely, and I will gladly pay postage for it if it is mine to have. Pretty please?
Additionally, whatever happened to the lopsided vase that was 'too ugly to give away' in your Flickr album? I loved it. It would be the best ikebana vase evar. I would pay for that, man. You should totally be selling teh potteriez.
Your pieces are lovely, and I'm ashamed that I can't compete with the fabulastic flattery from Anne Marie in Philly.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm just a girl, so the soon-to-be-patented chuckle/hair toss/look up from the corner of my eye won't work on you.
I guess, I'll just have to offering a loving home to that gorgeous pencil holder (or the square topped vase, really I'm as easy as I look). And there are two cats living here, so the little guy will feel right at home.
Oh, and I'll happily pay for postage (though it doesn't compare to gin).
Well....I'm a fairly new reader/"stalker" and I have enjoyed IMMENSELY your pottery sklz, food recipes..........but most of all your drink recipies!! You are my hero of all things gin/vodka related! Have you considered bartending until you find a different job??? I think you would ROCK at that!
ReplyDeleteI love all your pieces, but if I had to choose...I like the brown one on the top with the square-ish opening. I'd return the postage as well, and maybe some other fun things I could find. You are the best.....no really you are.....
A VUBOQ Sonnet
ReplyDelete"Shall I compare thee to a VUBOQ day?
No, VUBOQ art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of VUBOQ,
And VUBOQ's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of VUBOQ shines,
And oft' is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every VUBOQ from fair VUBOQ sometime declines,
By chance or VUBOQ's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal VUBOQ shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair VUBOQ thou owest;
Nor shall VUBOQ brag thou wanderest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time VUBOQ growest:
So long as VUBOQ can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to VUBOQ."
Any pot will do, so long as it is a VUBOQ pot.
I have to choose? (am whining)
ReplyDeleteCurvy blue vase, I guess, but I love them all. Can I enter the contest for all of them, or do I have to post this comment five times to do that?
