Good Afternoon, Kittens!Yesterday, we were released from work at around 3PM. And, today, our building is closed again.
Apparently, there was a water main break of some sort. Also, this water main break happened last Friday. I know this because I track our building's water usage via an online metering system.
Of course, I didn't find this out until Wednesday morning (because of the holiday last Monday and everyone told me that the "flood" in the basement was coming from outside our building). When I checked the meter readings for the weekend, I was, like, um, "No, it's happening in our building somewhere." I provided the information I had to the people in charge. I guess they decided not to act on it for a couple of days. Whatever.
So, today, I am working from home. I did bring some files home with me in anticipation of this surprise "day off."
Besides working from home today, I have also worked from Trader Joe's and I have made it work by watching the Miss Piggy episode of Project Runway: All Stars.
After "work," I am heading into town to (hopefully) meet SCGB and my friend, Barbara, for dinner. Then, I have to hang around until 10PM-ish, when the Fabulous David P rolls into town for a visit. YAY!
We haven't really made any concrete plans, but I'm sure it will be a good weekend.
