Everytime I buy Kettle Chips New York Cheddar with Herbs, I giggle.

a) Because I always pronounce the "h," and
b) Because I always think of this.

    i would re-phrase and say, "silly quirky thing" rather than "stupid." because i think it's actually silly in a cute way.. not stupid ;)

Shaken. Bruised. And Just the Facts.

This is not the post I was intending to write this evening, but ... I need to write things down to sort them out in my head as best as possible. At approximately 2:50PM on my walk home from the metro station, I was attacked from behind. I have walked down Wayne Avenue at least twice a day for 5 years, at all hours of the day and night. I have always felt perfectly safe doing so. Even today didn't seem out of the ordinary. As I approached the intersection of Dale and Wayne, I passed a young black man in his early 20s. I made eye contact and nodded. I crossed Dale and heard a noise. I turned and saw someone running up Dale. That's when I noticed someone following me. I turned off my iPod and reached for my phone. And he jumped me, putting me in a chokehold and trying to pull me to the ground. I began hitting him over my shoulder with my large umbrella (which, sadly, is now in pieces). 12 of 12: It's Been a Long Time Edition

Good Evening, Kittens. Look! It's my 12 of 12 for January ... Some of us have to get up at 5:30 AM ... even if the Evil Snow Shovelers are shoveling snow at 1:30AM and it wakes us up and keeps us up for an hour. Even though we get up at 5:30 AM ... sometimes we don't make it to the metro station until Much Later (*cough* 7:45 *cough*) ... but then we get on a train and it whizzes (*heh*) through the snowscape. Eventually (meaning "forEVER"), I arrive at work and see ... snow-covered bicycles. Check email. Eat breakfast. Die one thousand deaths before 9AM. Meetings. Paperwork. Incompetence. *ROWR* Creating survey. Annoying little pop-up thing that Won't. Go. Away. How cute are these boots? How CUTE are these BOOTS? Wandering around taking photos of damage in my building ... Don't Panic. It's almost Go Home Time. It's a good thing the Count of Monte Cristo is 3261 pages long.
