Weekend Update: Best Day of the Year Edition

Image
Good Evening, Kittens! As you may know, yesterday (3/17) was the Best Day of the Year!  And, I spent the entire Best Day of the Year weekend in fabulous and exciting New York City!  *w00t* But, before I left, M came over on Thursday night for a little pre-birthday celebration (and a lot of hot buttsecks).  He gave me a watch as my present, which was very sweet ... but also shows that he doesn't listen very well.  I had suggested that he not buy me a present, but should cook dinner or something for me sometime in the near future.  Anyway, this is the watch: It is cute.  and green. Then, Friday morning, there may (or may not) have been more buttsecks and I may (or may not) have been a smidge late for work ... It was after work when the real fun began.  I metro'ed over to Union Station and had time to have 2 cocktails, a beer, and locate a likker store that sold little boxes of wine before boarding my train to NYC. I arrived in NYC aroun...

Week Update: There and Back Again Edition

Image
Good Evening, Kittens.  It's been awhile since my last post, so we have quite a lot of ground to cover.  I'm going to skip the Giant Cesspool of Crap which is my job and focus on the Fun Stuff. On Wednesday, after work, I headed over to K's condo for an Adult Sleepover.  He made caipirinhas (I am not sure I spelled that correctly ...).  I brought over most of my CSA vegetables, because I would have no opportunity to use them.  And, then, to use one of Mush 's favorite phrases, he fucked me through the bed.  It was quite lovely.  And, luckily, my back seemed to hold up ok.  It was a little twingy the next day, but not too bad. Thursday evening, I did laundry and packed for my trip to New York City!  The Very Large Apple!  Yay! My train was super early (6:30AM).  On the plus side, it meant I got to Uni-Qlo right when it opened.  No lines!  No crowds!  It was a beautiful shopping experience, except I had troubl...

Week Update: A Whole Lotta Shit's Been Happenin' Edition

Image
Good Evening, Kittens! Apologies for the lack of the updates.  I've been busy.  Last week, I met this new guy.  Let's call him "D."  D is totally my physical type: tallish, my age, dark-skinned, bald, and thick. He's also very into running. And, he's an early riser.  He gets up before I do.  So, last week, our first "date" was on Tuesday.  We went for a 3.5 mile run together.  Wednesday and Thursday, he came over in the mornings after his run and we had the very hot oral secks.  We did not meet up over the weekend, because I was in the New York City. I had been planning to visit the NYC for quite some time.  Namely, to see David in the Gilbert and Sullivan show, Utopia, Ltd.   But, as it turns out, there was another reason for me to go: There was a DNA hit on a bandana recovered at the scene of my mugging in Brooklyn last year.  The guy the bandana was linked to is a Very Bad Kid, part of a gang that has been linked to mu...

Weekend Update: Have You *Seen* the Cabana Boy Edition

Image
Good Morning, Kittens. Since last night was so exciting (laundry!), I thought I'd fill you in on my SuperBusy Weekend + 1. On Friday, David arrived. We met at Capitol City Brewing Company (near Union Station) for Happy Hour. Many, many friends joined us ... the SuperCute Anthony, Mike (Who Makes Cakes), Mario, and Tomokito! We (or, well, I) had many many beerz. And, then, we (minus SuperCute Anthony and Mario and plus SCGB) went to La Loma for many many margaritaz and enchiladas! Nom! Saturday was yardwork day. Prior to the yardwork, I went for a 3.5 mile run. Whilst I toiled in the sun, David went to the gym. Then, we met at Adega for lunch. Eggplant fries. Nomz! And, J joined us towards the end of the meal. I bought a bottle of wine, and the three of us headed home to watch Burn After Reading (and to eat much kettle corn). Movie over, J and I headed out. J was meeting his brother. And, I, I took the road less traveled by ... I mean, I metro'ed into DC to meet Kri...

Weekend Update: Thanks for the Memories, NYC!

Image
Good afternoon, kittens! I am back from an ... eventful trip to New York City. I wish I could post more pictures, but, as you will learn in a bit, there is a Very Good Reason. On Friday, after work, I hopped on the Amtrak. It was uneventful ... except I lost my hat. Sad. I really liked that hat. Once, I arrived at Penn Station, I transferred to the subway and rode up to 50th Street. David was attending a show, so I found a little Irish bar, had a beer, and waited for the show to end. Eventually, he found me and we had a late dinner at a Mexican restaurant that was yummy and I have completely forgotten the name. Lime something? Lime Jungle? Something like that anyway. Then, we went back to David's fabulous apartment in Brooklyn. This is the kitchen: Even though it is bigger than my entire apartment, I am not jealous. The next morning, we got up and went to IKEA. David forced me to carry a 7000 pound futon frame for 58 miles through all 42 Burroughs of New York City. Seri...

Weekend Update: Whirlwind Trip to NYC

Image
Good Morning, Kittens. *whew* What a weekend! I went up to NYC for " David Pasteelnick's " 45th Birthday Cabaret, which, although it sounds similar, is *nothing* like a Birthday Cabernet ... both do contain quite a bit of alcohol. ANYWAYZ, so I left for NYC immediately after work ... if you define "immediately" to mean "not even close to immediately." I finished work at 4. My bus was at 5:30. So, I had time to wander around Macy's for a minute and to get food for the bus at Chopt. Of course, then the bus was over an hour late. We didn't board until well past 6:30. ugh. Which means I didn't get to NYC until after 11 (original arrive time was supposed to be 9:20). Which means I didn't get to Jake's place in Brooklyn until nearly midnight. Which means I was very tired Saturday morning. I was supposed to meet Nida for coffee in the morning, but I was tired and she had swollen ankles. Instead, I met Y for brunch around 2 at Cur...

Weekend Update: Seven Pictures Edition

Image
Good Evening, Kittens. Over the weekend, I took a few more than 7 pictures. However, I only took seven during the fabulous Puntabulous Pool Party. BUT, to start at the very beginning ... The bus ride to New York got off to an unpleasant start. First, the bus stop was a madhouse because of some youth soccer tournament that was going on. Kids were everywhere and it was difficult to tell where the lines for the bus began/ended. Then, because of traffic, my bus was about 30 minutes late. Luckily, once I boarded, I snagged one of the much coveted upper deck front seats. Yay. After much traffic and way too much air conditioning, I arrived in New York City a little after 11, and I got to Y's about 11:45. Very tired. Went straight to bed. The next day, I met David , Enrico and Josh at the rental car place so David could drive us all out to Long Island. And we arrived at the Puntabulous Pool Party around 3:30. You've probably all read others' accounts of the festivities...

Weekend Update: Spreading the News Edition

Good Evening, Kittens. I am back from my fabulous weekend in New York City, in which I spent lots of money, saw lots of friends, saw a show, and even kissed a girl (OK. I didn't do that, but I did have lots of teh buttsecks). Friday after work, I headed to the Megabus stop via Chop't. I got there a bit early, so I ran into Macy's for a quick looksee. And, I found an AMAZING winter coat . For 75% off. Which I couldn't buy, because I didn't want to schlep it all the way to NYC. I am thinking I may head there after work tomorrow to see if it's still available. The bus ride to NYC was Looooooooooooooooooooooooong. There was a Late Start. and Traffic. and an Accident. But, we finally arrived and I took the subway to Y's apartment near Union Square. The next morning, I met the lovely Nida for brunch at the Coffee Shop. We wandered around a bit, poking our heads into random shops. Then, we took the train uptown - she was meeting a friend for a picnic, a...

All That's Left is a Freezer Full of Chicken and a Room Full of Crap

Image
Good Morning, Kittens! The (temporary) roommate is gone (temporarily)! He drove to NYC late last night, but will be back -at some point- to pick up the rest of his belongings. Of course, he decided to cook himself dinner right before he left, so my going away present was a sink full of all his dirty dishes. And, then, he had a go at me for not volunteering to help him fill his car with his crap. Um. If he wanted help, why didn't he ask instead of expecting people to jump up and help. As excited as I was to see him go, I didn't feel like carrying out all his crap too. It's all about him. All the time. When it totally should be all about me. All the time. I'm glad he's moving on. In other exciting news, I bought my bus tickets to NYC for Halloween Weekend. I *heart* the cheap bus. $18.50 RT. I leave on the morning of Friday the 30th and return on Monday the 2nd. I will get to hang out with Mush ! And we are going to go see David in Brigadoo n (probably...

Weekend Update: Big Apple Adventure Bus Blogging

Image
Good Afternoon, Kittens! I am on the MegaBus and heading home. Hurrah! NYC was totes fun, but I am ready to sleep in my own bed and pet my pussy for awhile. When I last updated, I was meeting Nida and Nehal for dinner in Broolyn. We went to Walter Foods . It was delicious. I had a green salad and spinach and mushroom ravioli in a yummy lemon cream sauce. For dessert, we shared a slice of cheesecake and a slice of chocolate mousse pie. OMG. Total Yumz. After dinner, I headed back to Jake's Brooklyn abode, where we had cocktails and fun chat. The next day, I met Min and his partner, Derek, for brunch in Midtown. We went to a cute little Frence bistro, Le Bateau Ivre . Spinach and Goat Cheese Omelet! Wow! Flavor explosion! Then, because the weather was so nice, we walked around, ending up at Grand Central Station. Min and Derek left, and I walked to the Village to meet Alison and her boyfriend, Peter. They ate. I ogled the cute food bringer outer guy: Afterwards, w...
